Yoga to help you move wild and free

Being Wild and Free

Being Wild and Free
Yoga Outside Being Wild and Free

I started practicing yoga for the physical benefits to accompany my trail running … to stretch my body, build strength, become more flexible, improve my balance and tone up. My daily practice was having a positive effect on my mind too. I became more in tune with my body. Mind and body connected. Unity. That’s yoga. I was making better decisions for my body which in turn improved my mind. More positive. Determined. Focused on what feels right and what I wanted to achieve. My running improved as my body got fitter and stronger. My mindset positive, yet calmer, even through challenging times. Able to focus on what I could change, and accept situations out of my control. Mind and body wellbeing. A feeling of being wild and free.

I’ve always enjoyed practicing yoga alone, and love to practice yoga outdoors in nature. Yoga is deeply rooted in nature and it’s a beautiful feeling to connect with self and nature through the art of yoga. Being alone in nature while at the same time being surrounded by life. Moving Wild and Free as nature intended. Wild Yoga.

A beautiful trailhound, Tim, came into my life. We connected. Serendipity. I had been trail running for a few years. Steadily improving. My yoga, running and wellbeing choices working in harmony. Feeling fitter and stronger in mind and body than I ever had. Tim was born to run. A wild and free spirit with the will and determination to succeed. We started running on the trails together and entered our first Canicross race, winning our category. A few months later we had competed in the Scottish Championship series 2023/24, dancing to a podium finish in all our races, taking 2nd overall in women’s Canicross. The following season Tim and I raced in Bikejor; cross country mountain biking with dogs. Again we achieved a podium finish in all our races, including 3 golds, and came 2nd in women’s Bikejor in the Scottish Championship Series 2024/25. Connection. Unity. Trust. Running and riding wild and free together.

I’m a Yoga Alliance Professionals qualified teacher specialising in Yoga for Trail Runners, Yoga for Mountain Bikers and Wild Yoga. Tim and I share yoga to improve strength, stability, flexibility, balance and power for our favourite activities – canicross, bikejor, trail running and mountain biking. We practice wild yoga when out in nature on wild adventures to connect with ourselves and nature and have created a beautiful wild yoga book. Tim and I would love to join you on your fitness and wellbeing journey and help you discover how yoga can help you move wild and free on this incredible adventure called life.
